More than half of working people, that’s 56%, have a nagging feeling about their retirement savings. This isn’t just a guess. Bankrate did a survey, and the numbers are pretty clear: 37% think they’re behind, and some even believe they need a cool million to retire without worries.
What’s causing this stress? A lot of us are setting our savings goals based on info from the internet. There’s stuff like: “save twice your starting pay by age 35” or “aim to have 10 times your yearly pay when you retire.”
